BOTETOURT CO., Va. – The Botetourt Family YMCA is one step closer to becoming a reality, thanks in part to a substantial donation.
YMCA of Virginia's Blue Ridge was able to raise $8,850,000, the goal set to receive a $150,000 challenge match donation from Bill and Shireen Kirk.

“Meeting this goal was enormous for Botetourt and the Y,” said Mark Johnson, president and CEO of YMCA of Virginia’s Blue Ridge.
The ultimate goal is to break ground on the building this fall and have it open to the public by December 2018. The YMCA aims to raise another million before groundbreaking.
