Crews on scene after car crashes into Roanoke home

ROANOKE, Va. – Emergency crews are responding after a car crashed into a Roanoke home Tuesday evening.

The Roanoke Fire-EMS tweeted for people to avoid Melrose Avenue between 18th Street NW and 16th Street NW due to the crash at 5:39 p.m.

Crews are now waiting for a tow truck to arrive, as well as code enforcement.

Tiffany Bradbury with Roanoke Fire-EMS said that the building involved in the crash is vacant.
