5 juveniles arrested in attempted Amherst Arms robbery

AMHERST CO., Va. – Amherst County deputies have arrested five juveniles accused of trying to break into a Madison Heights gun shop. 

Deputies responded to an alarm call at Amherst Arms around 3 a.m. on July 27. When they arrived, they discovered damage from an attempted forced entry. Nothing had been taken.

The juveniles are 15 to 17 years old. These are the same suspects recently arrested for similar break-ins in Bedford County, Campbell County and Lynchburg. Their names are not being released because they are underage. 

They are being held at the Lynchburg Regional Juvenile Detention Center.
