Roanoke police release new details in fatal Family Dollar shooting

ROANOKE, Va. – Roanoke police have released new details about a double shooting that happened in the parking lot of a Family Dollar store. 

Police charged 48-year-old Kimberly Gollop with first-degree murder. They say she opened fire, killing a woman and injuring a man Saturday.

Search warrants reveal a black Chrysler suspiciously circled the parking lot on Orange Ave. before the shooting. 

Police say the driver of the car knew the victims. 

Inside that car, police found a rifle and prescription medications. Inside the victim's car, police found money and a stun gun.
