Virginia Tech in final stages of demolishing Monteith Hall

BLACKSBURG, Va. – The final phase of demolition for a Virginia Tech dorm building, Monteith Hall, is starting this week.

So far, the windows and interior walls are gone in the building that once housed the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets.
Demolition is expected to take about five weeks, including the removal of the building, foundation, and debris from the site. Cadets who lived in Monteith Hall now live in Pearson Hall, which opened in 2015, and New Cadet Hall, which opened last week.
