ROANOKE, Va. – In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, Virginia could be among the states with the highest increase in gas prices.
Locally, drivers are beginning to see a bump at the pump.
However, according to the Mid-Atlantic AAA, increases are just getting started.
This is because refineries were damaged by the torrential rain around the Texas Gulf Coast.
The amount of damage to the refineries is still unknown.
Here in Roanoke, gas prices are up 3 cents a gallon, averaging about $2.20.
