Boys & Girls Club launches 20 Days of Giving Campaign

Coca-Cola partners with Boys & Girls Club for campaign

ROANOKE, Va. – This year marks the 20th anniversary for the Boys & Girls Club in Roanoke.

Today is also the launch of its 20 Days of Giving.

During the past two decades, the Boys & Girls Club has impacted 17,000 youths in Roanoke.

“Twenty years is exciting for the Boys & Girls Club. It means we succeeded in consistency for the community. It’s a place where kids know they’re safe,” Rebekah Meadows said, an employee at the Boys & Girls Club.

“That's a big deal to us and the community. We thought, what better way to celebrate with a 20 day-long campaign,” said Libby Dembski, resource development coordinator of the Boys & Girls Club.

“The 20-day campaign has partnerships including Coca-Cola who is doing a $1,000 match,” Dembski said.

Other businesses participating include Exotic Aquatics, Salem Printing and Blue Cow Ice Cream.

The organization is planning to expand beyond Roanoke Valley to Montgomery and Franklin counties.
