GALAX – Firefighters extinguished an intense vehicle fire Sunday morning in Galax.

According to the Galax Fire Department, the call came in at 5:52 a.m.
The fire happened in the 4000 block of Elkhorn Road in Galax. The fire department was able to extinguish the fire. No one was injured, officials said. The cause of the fire is not known.
