What's News Today: September 11, 2017

Here's a look at some of the stories we'll be following today


The Virginia Tech Board of Visitors continues a two day meeting today.  Several committees will meet today.  During the two day session, the board will hear about the health science and technology campus, the School of Medicine and look at designs for several construction and renovation projects.

Rocky Mount Town Council holds a public hearing about the Mountain Valley Pipeline.  The pipeline has requested a special use permit to allow for a temporary storage yard on Parkers Drive.  The yard will have pipe and heavy equipment and machines. 

The Bedford County Board of Supervisors holds a special meeting and work session today.  It will set the personal property tax relief rate and review the county's capital improvement program.
