Body found at convenience store, Danville police investigate as homicide

DANVILLE, Va. – Danville police are investigating after a person's body was found at a convenience store Tuesday morning. 

They are treating this as a homicide.

The call came in just before 10 a.m. about a deceased person inside the Joy Food Store at 507 Riverside Drive. 

No one else was inside the store when police arrived, according to authorities. 

Officers are on the scene now. The Pittsylvania County Sheriff's Office is also there with a bloodhound.
