Roanoke police arrest 18-year-old after 8th Street shooting


ROANOKE, Va. – Roanoke police have arrested an 18-year-old man after a shooting that sent two people to the hospital. 

It happened in the 500 block of 8th St. NW on Thursday, September 28. Police had asked for the public's help finding the suspect, Asaru Makyh Sayles. 

Sayles turned himself in to police Tuesday, according to a police spokesman. He is charged with two counts of malicious wounding. 

Sayles is being held without bond.
