ROANOKE, Va. –
It was a day of free learning for kids at the Virginia Museum of Transportation.
The museum, along with other organizations, hosted Roanoke Steam Day where home-schooled and public school students got to experience hands-on activities involving science technology, engineering, arts and mathematics.
“I learned a ton about automobiles. I love this place. I could spend a whole day here,” said participant Wesley Lee.
Roanoke Steam Day is the school preview day for the Virginia Tech Science Festival, which happens Nov. 4.
