UPDATE: Man wanted in connection with Lynchburg homicide arrested
He previously was a person of interest in case
LYNCHBURG, Va. – UPDATE: Murder suspect Kenneth Allen Kelley Jr. was taken into custody at 11:30 a.m. Sunday. He is being held without bail at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail.
ORIGINAL STORY: Lynchburg police have charged a man after a July death.
After first being named a person of interest in the case, police have now charged 22-year-old Kenneth Allen Kelley Jr. with second-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
On July 2, police found 28-year-old Phineas Rufus Neville, of Lynchburg, had been shot multiple times and took him to the hospital, where he later died as a result of his injuries.
People knew the victim as Ebony Morgan, though she hadn’t changed her legal name from Phineas Rufus Neville.
