Roanoke County police investigate attempted armed robbery at Burger King

The employees reportedly told the suspect "no" when he demanded money

ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. – Roanoke County police are investigating an attempted armed robbery at a fast food restaurant in the Hollins area. 

It happened around 10:40 p.m. Monday at the Burger King in the 7100 block of Williamson Road.

Police say a man wearing black pants, a black jacket and a ski mask entered through the back door. He then pointed a gun at employees and demanded money, according to police.

When the employees responded "no," the man ran out the back door and into the wood line behind the business. 

Police have not arrested anyone yet.
