Komen Virginia Blue Ridge holds its Pink Promise Luncheon today. Money raised from the event goes to the organization's mission of providing breast cancer education, screenings and diagnosis. This is the fourth year of the event.
Jackson Park Branch Library holds a 50th anniversary celebration. To celebrate, the Roanoke library will have a taco bar, activities, a photo booth and salsa dancing. The activities start at 5 p.m.

Today is the last day to register to vote in next month's election. You can register at your local voter registration office, at DMV offices and on the Department of Elections website. Elections will take place for statewide offices as well as all members of the House of Delegates.
