An online retailer of Halloween costumes has decided to pull its Anne Frank-inspired costume after waves of criticism, according to CBS News.
Fun.com, based in Mankato, Minnesota, runs the website, HalloweenCostumes.com, where it was featured. Screenshots of the costume posted to social media show a girl wearing a World War II-era outfit.

Spokesman for Fun.com, Ross Walker Smith, released a statement via Twitter Sunday, saying the costume had been pulled. Smith said the site sells costumes for school projects and plays as well, and apologized "for any offense it has caused."
Identical costumes are still being sold widely online.
