Lynchburg police investigating trailer thefts

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Lynchburg Police Department is investigating reporst of two stolen trailers.

On October 12 and 13, the department received reports about trailers being stolen.

The first reported trailer theft occurred the night of October 11, when the trailer was stolen from the 3800 block of Old Forest Road, according to police.

The first trailer is described as a black 2016 Nex-haul enclosed trailer with black and chrome bumpers, a side door and ramps, with a dent over the left wheel well. The trailer had a Virginia license plate of NDSOLR1.

The second reported trailer theft occurred the night of October 12, and police say the trailer in that report was stolen from the 1400 block of Lakeside Drive.

This trailer is described as a black 2018 Carolina Trailer with a Virginia license plate of CT678988. The trailer had a lock on the hitch at the time it was taken, police said.
