West End Center gets $10,000 check from TJ Maxx & HomeGoods store

TJ Maxx & Homegoods store presents $10,000 check at grand opening

ROANOKE, Va.

The West End Center received a $10,000 check from TJ Maxx & Homegoods store during its grand opening Thursday morning.

Management at the center said several associates at the new store are former members of the nonprofit organization. Those associates nominated the center based on how much it helped their lives.

“They chose us because the associates were connected to the West End Center and they have benefited from the West End Center. So, we are very blessed and very lucky to have been chosen to receive $10,000, which is going to be amazing and much needed right now,” said development director Melanie Huber, at West End Center.

Huber said the money will go toward the center's education program.
