Child was found unresponsive on Feb. 28, 2016

ROANOKE, Va. – A man will spend 18 years in prison in the death of a Roanoke child he was babysitting.

A judge sentenced 23-year-old Mikeal Sardarov Thursday for the second-degree murder of 5-month-old Liam Fink. The boy was Sardarov's wife's nephew.

The child was found unresponsive in his home on Dona Drive on Feb. 28, 2016.

Sardarov entered a no-contest plea in July.

He will be on indefinite probation after he is released from prison.

He also cannot have any unsupervised contact with children.
