BLACKSBURG –
One local student has been selected as a semifinalist in a global contest, and she needs your help earning a top spot in the online popular vote.
Blacksburg teen Mia Lazer is competing in the Breakthrough Junior Challenge.
The challenge asks students to demonstrate difficult scientific concepts by creating humorous videos. The student with the top score in the popular vote earns an automatic spot in the finals, and a chance to win $400,000 dollars in prizes.
