Danville man indicted in connection with July officer-involved shooting

Keith Davis, 36, facing three charges

DANVILLE, Va. – A grand jury has indicted Keith Davis, 36, on two felony charges and one misdemeanor charge for a July 23 officer-involved shooting.

Virginia State Police announced Tuesday afternoon a Danville grand jury indicted Davis Oct. 23 on one count each of felony assault on a police and felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The grand jury also indicted Davis on one misdemeanor count of brandishing a firearm.

VSP investigated the shooting at the request of the Danville Police Department.

Davis is being held in the Danville City Jail.
