A disgruntled boss of an English bus company shut it down abruptly with a note reading: "I have had enough and realise I cannot work with you, the people I employ, a moment longer."

Sydney Hardy has been heading the fleet at Nippybus for 13 years, but apparently the 57-year-old is ready to move on.

The note continued, "I am quitting to pursue my dream of not having to work here."

Because the company ran several school and public bus contracts, hundreds are affected.

Drivers for Nippybus are now left wondering how they'll pay their bills, saying the firing without warning left them in "total shock."

Hardy told The Guardian he has no further comments on the matter.
