Tamyaria: 30 Days of Hope

Taking a cooking class at school and enjoys showing off her new found skills

ROANOKE – Tamyaria is taking a cooking class at school and enjoys showing off her new found skills by cooking for others. The 16-year old enjoys reading and cares about her appearance, especially having up to date clothing and having her hair done.

Tamyaria has participated in praise dancing, and is currently initiating a praise dance group with other people in her current placement. Tamyaria does best with consistency and predictability. She has a strong desire to be a part of a family. Tamyaria has a great sense of humor and would do best in a loving, two parent home with no younger children.

They are ready to find a permanent and loving forever family. 10 News is profiling one child who needs a home every day at 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. in 30 Days of Hope. Connecting Hearts- A Deborah J Johnston Charity  celebrates National Adoption Month to bring awareness to 30 kids or siblings who are available for forever homes, but also to shed light on hundreds of other children who may not be seen. The children are all ages and races and were put into foster care due to no fault of their own. To learn more about becoming a foster to adoption parent click here.
