Martinsville man dies after driving car into cement wall

Investigators have not yet determined what caused the accident

MARTINSVILLE, Va. – Police say a Martinsville man has died after crashing his car into a cement wall.

It happened around 7 a.m. Friday at a parking lot at the intersection of East Church St. and Broad St. 

Albert Camp, 64, was driving a 2009 Toyota Camry. He did not have any passengers with him when he crashed. 

Camp was taken to SOVAH Hospital of Martinsville, where he was pronounced dead. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, according to police. 

Investigators are working to determine what caused Camp to wreck. Anyone with information should call 403-5330 or 403-5328.
