Roanoke County gets makeover with new logo

County introduced new marketing brand Friday morning

ROANOKE, Va. – Roanoke County just got a makeover.

The county introduced its new marketing brand this Friday.

County leaders said it's a reflection of the county's vision statement and identity as an outdoor destination.

“I think it's going to be absolutely fantastic. It incorporates McAfee's Knob. The fact that the logo is on the side of so many of the vehicles that the county will have will be a great promotion for what we have in our scenic beauty and what visitors enjoy seeing when they come here,” Landon Howard, president of Visit Virginia’s Blue Ridge, said.

The marketing brand will be used for day-to-day business, while the county seal will be used to represent the authority of the county.

More examples of the new brand will be on display next week.
