New Salem holiday event brings crafts and beer together

Holiday vendors, food trucks and beer will be on Main Street

SALEM – The City of Salem is launching a new holiday celebration this weekend, featuring dozens of holiday vendors, food trucks and beer.

The Salem Crafty Christmas will take place on both sides of Main Street.

The market area and parking lot behind it will be filled with more than 40 vendors, selling everything from crafts to fresh food items and produce, as well as fresh holiday greenery.

In Library Square, Parkway Brewery will set up, serving locally brewed beer.

The Long Fin Grill food truck will also be there as well as music by Half Moon.

"We are overflowing with vendors to be here and we'll also have some heaters set up so it will be a comfortable place to come and shop despite the cooler temperatures," said farmers' market manager Laura Reilly.

"We're really excited about the library being able to be the center of that we have a really great space down in library square so all of these people can come enjoy the facets of what makes downtown Salem wonderful," said library director Ann Tripp.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
