ROANOKE, Va. –
It was a packed crowd in downtown Roanoke for the City of Roanoke Christmas Parade.
It’s a ‘grand old parade’ that attracted hundreds of kids like Alliey Turner and all her friends. “I just like a Christmas parade, you just don’t really see them anymore,” Alliey said.
Spectators were wrapped in blankets as they huddled together.
Costumed characters, marching bands and community groups filled the streets.
Mike White’s excitement came from seeing his kids' joy. “It’s great for the kids. That’s the main reason why we come,” White said.
