DANVILLE, Va. – We now know the name of the man hit and killed by a car in Danville.

Police say Eugene Moorefield Junior, 87, walked in front of a car heading west in the 1500 block of Westover Drive around 6:15 p.m. Sunday.

Police also say witnesses performed CPR until paramedics arrived.

Where Moorefield was coming from or going to was still under investigation Monday.
