ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY – A woman was killed Friday during a car crash in Rockbridge County. According to Virginia State Police it happened at 1:46 p.m. on Old Buena Vista Road, 1 mile west of Route 608 in Rockbridge County.
A 2005 Saturn Relay was traveling west on Old Buena Vista Road, when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned.

The 2011 Saturn was driven by Lois Marie Benson, 75, of Fairfield, Va. Ms. Benson was wearing her seatbelt and died at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
