ROANOKE, Va. – Police charged a 56-year-old man after a woman was hit by a car at Valley View Mall on Sunday night.
Brian Keith Harper, of Wirtz, was charged with DUI, according to Scott Leamon with the Roanoke Police Department.

Police say its the woman is expected to be okay.
A pedestrian was taken to the hospital after being hit by a car near Valley View Mall, according to Roanoke Police.
The incident happened on Ring Road near Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen at 7:15 p.m. on Sunday.
Police said the pedestrian was conscious and alert.
The driver stopped after the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
