More funding needed for upgrades at Christiansburg High School

CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. – A local high school is once again asking for millions of dollars to upgrade its athletic facility.

On Dec. 6, the Montgomery County School Board requested $1.7 million to cover turf for the softball field and other improvements at Christiansburg High School.

The Board of Supervisors will meet Monday night to discuss and possibly vote on the funding.

In October, 10 News reported that the Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to give more than $2 million to add artificial turf and an upgraded track to the football field.
