Police investigating after shots fired in parking lot of Lynchburg barber shop

Shooting happened shortly after 1 p.m. Thursday


LYNCHBURG, Va. – Lynchburg police are investigating what led to shots being fired outside a barber shop on Thursday afternoon. 

Police were alerted to the shooting that happened in the parking lot of Hill City Cuts Barber Shop on Alleghany Avenue at 1:14 p.m.

Callers told police that two men were shooting at each other in the parking lot.

One was wearing a black hoodie, while the other was driving a gray sedan.

After the shooting, one male reportedly ran away, while the other left in the gray sedan.

Police say they recovered multiple shell casings at the scene where three vehicles and two businesses were struck.

Nobody was injured and the scene is being processed, according to the police.
