One arrested, others remain at large after attempted armed robbery of Pittsylvania County cab driver

Other individuals involved in the incident remain at large

PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. – The Pittsylvania County Sheriff's Office has arrested one man and is searching for more after an attempted armed robbery of a cab driver Wednesday evening.

Sheriff's deputies responded to the location, where it was reported multiple individuals were at large and suspected in the robbery attempt.

Deputies, K-9 officers and investigators, along with officers from the Danville Police Department, quickly apprehended Christopher Odell and attempted to locate the remaining individuals.

Odell has been charged with attempted armed robbery and is currently being held under no bond in the Pittsylvania County Jail.

The other individuals involved in this incident remain at large.
