MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Va. – A 17-year-old boy was flown to the hospital after being stabbed New Year's Day during a possible road rage incident at the Radford Travel Center.
Deputies responded to the stabbing just before 2 p.m. The boy had to be airlifted to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is currently asking for the public’s help in finding a burgundy Honda CRV with Virginia “scenic” license plates.
The vehicle also had a pink car seat in the middle of the back seat. The driver was a white woman with dark hair and a gray hoodie. The passenger and possible suspect was a heavy-set black man with a thin mustache, wearing black track pants with a white stripe on the legs and a gray hoodie.
Below is a picture of the style of the license plate on the suspect’s vehicle according to a witness statement; however, a specific plate number is not available.
