Update: Martinsville police have 'good understanding' of deadly fight Saturday
Tyrone Herndon, 34, killed; Terrell Martin, 24, wanted
MARTINSVILLE – We're learning more about a weekend fight that left one man dead.
Martinsville police say they have a "good understanding" of what happened and why.
They wouldn't go into detail Monday, however, saying they wanted to give the suspect a chance to turn himself in and tell his side of the story before they speak publicly about what they believe happened.
Terrell Martin, 24, is facing four charges, including first-degree murder.
As of Monday, police said they were working with several witnesses, all of whom were being very cooperative.
Police said Martin shot Tyrone Herndon, 34, at the Valero gas station around 12:15 a.m. Saturday after the two got into a fight there.
