LYNCHBURG, Va. – Volunteers in Lynchburg are helping to keep the community warm.
For the second year in a row, the gro
up Sticks and String are knitting with a purpose. They made more than 800 scarves, hats, and mittens. They then pinned them in different locations across the city for anyone to take for free.Â
"Now the top of my ears are no longer cold. It is cold out here and I really do appreciate what they've done for us and its really appreciated,” Jestina Brown, Lynchburg resident, said.
Organizers say, they will now start planning for the third annual "Chase the Chill,"Â next year.
