Lynchburg man charged after man hospitalized following alleged assault

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Authorities have arrested and charged a 24-year-old Lynchburg man after an alleged assault early Friday morning.

At 5:55 a.m., Lynchburg officers responded to the 2000 block of Pansy Street in reference to an injured person.

When officers arrived, they found an unconscious man inside a single-family dwelling, according to the Lynchburg Police Department.

The man was then taken to Lynchburg General Hospital, where he is currently being treated for severe injuries he sustained in an alleged assault.

Police arrested and charged Tershaud Rose with malicious wounding.

Police said this incident is unrelated to the investigation on Taylor Street early Friday morning.
