Power being restored after crash in Roanoke

Power restoration estimated for 9 p.m.

ROANOKE, Va. – More than 1,000 customers were without power after a crash in Roanoke Wednesday afternoon.

AEP reports that a vehicle crash at about 3:20 p.m. has caused an outage is affecting customers in Roanoke, Roanoke County and Salem.

As of 11:00 p.m., 97 customers were still affected by the outage.

AEP has no estimated restoration time for the remaining customers after previous estimates of 8 p.m. and 9 p.m.
