Crews stop Roanoke County brush fire

About one acre burned

ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. – Roanoke County fire crews stop a brush fire Thursday afternoon.

The fire was on the side of a hill off Terry Walters Drive, about a mile away from the Tanglewood Mall.

The fire is believed to have been caused by a train passing through the area, according to Roanoke County Fire & Rescue.

About one acre of land was charred, along with some abandoned vehicles.
