PITTSYLVANIA CO., Va. – UPDATE
The fire is now contained, according to the county's public safety coordinator.
A few firefighters are still putting out hot spots and small areas that are still burning.
The county is continuing to monitor the air quality, but there's no indication that it is hazardous to people as a result of the trash being burned.

Several crews are on the scene of a fire at the First Piedmont Landfill in Pittsylvania County.
According to dispatch, the call came in around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
No injuries have been reported.
