Lynchburg police now have a suspect in a hit and run.

25-year-old Lynchburg resident Keith Dennis Eagle was arrested Wednesday. He is charged with felony hit and run.

The victim is still in serious condition.

Authorities are asking for the public's help after a Lynchburg man was found on the side of the road after they say he was possibly hit by a car.

Lynchburg Police Department and the Lynchburg Fire Department responded to a call about a man lying in the grass on the side of Old Forest Road in the 1900 block.

When authorities arrived on the scene, they found the unresponsive 47-year-old with multiple serious injuries.

10 News went to the area and spoke with Donna Primm, who lives nearby the accident. She didn't see or hear it, but has concerns about people speeding. She said she want to see changes and is not surprised this happened.

"It's not surprising, it really isn't, because the people they don't have no respect for other people out here. They really don't. Like I said, my mom's cat got hit out here and the man took off, he didn't stop or nothing and he was flying,” Primm said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Lynchburg Police Department Traffic Safety Unit at 434-455-6047.
