Police investigating fight that sent man to the hospital

Incidents happened on Peters Creek Road and Valley View Boulevard


On Tuesday night, Roanoke Police responded to the 2700 block of Peters Creek Road NW after receiving a call that someone was shot. 

When officers arrived, they found that no one had been shot and there were no shots fired. 

Authorities determined that two men and one woman, who all knew each other and who all were not from Roanoke, agreed to meet on Peters Creek Road. 

When the three met, a verbal argument escalated to a physical altercation. As a result, one of the men involved was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital by Roanoke Fire-EMS after he fell and hit his head on the pavement during the fight. 

The other two people involved left the scene, and were stopped in the 4900 block of Valley View Boulevard NW. 

All three people have been identified and the investigation is ongoing. 


Officers responded to the Applebee's Bar & Grill on Valley View Boulevard after a call for a gunshot wound.

When officers arrived on the scene, they say they did not identify a victim or a suspect. No arrests have been made, and they believe there is no danger to the public.  

Authorities say the incident may be related to the scene on Peters Creek Road.

Officers are on scene in the 2700 block of Peters Creek Road. 

Authorities say they do not believe there is a danger to the public at this time.
