Two minors charged in downtown Roanoke fires

ROANOKE, Va. – Roanoke Police say two minors are facing charges in connection with several fires in downtown Roanoke Sunday. 

Authorities say the two have been arrested and each faces two counts of arson and one count of felony property damage.

Officials with Roanoke Fire-EMS say they responded to four dumpster and trashcan fires on Sunday.  

Police say the suspects were taken to juvenile intake Tuesday.
