DANVILLE, Va. – A Danville man will likely spend the rest of his life in prison for a 2013 murder.
Pierre Dixon, 32, was sentenced to life plus 26 years Monday morning.

In Virginia, however, prisoners are considered for release each year once they turn 60.
Dixon was found guilty in November of shooting and robbing Antwan Rucker in a hotel parking lot.
A woman, Sharika Murphy, was also charged in the case.
She pleaded guilty in 2016 and is scheduled to be sentenced Wednesday.
