Tesla will roll out 'Dog Mode' to protect pets

This week, Tesla cars will receive an update, which includes a "dog mode."

A fan tweeted at Elon Musk, asking for a dog mode, which keeps the air conditioning on and plays music.

The mode will also include a message on the car's display screen that says, "I'm fine, my owner will be right back."

Musk says the update will roll out this week, along with a new security feature called Sentry Mode, which blasts classical music if the car detects it's being broken into.

Tesla updates are carried out remotely, as they are done via the car's software.
