Bus stolen early Sunday morning


ROANOKE, Va. – Authorities found a school bus that was stolen in Giles County.

The bus, stolen early Sunday at about 4:15 a.m, was found in Roanoke Monday morning, according to the Giles County Sheriff's Office.

The bus was discovered missing Monday at about 6:50 a.m.

At about 8:30 a.m., Roanoke police contacted the Sheriff's Office because the bus was found behind a shopping center in the 4100 block of Melrose Avenue NW, not far from Peters Creek Road.

Anyone with information regarding the stolen school bus is encouraged to contact the Giles County Sheriff's Office at 540-921-3842.

Roanoke police have not arrested anyone in connection with this incident.

Giles County authorities came to Roanoke to take the bus back home.
