ROANOKE, Va. – A portion of Franklin Road was closed as live power lines were in the road Tuesday afternoon.
Police say a car hit a power pole in the 2900 block of Franklin Road SW, near the McDonald's.

The road was closed from Roberts Road to Beechwood Drive for about an hour.
