Firefighters stop fire at unoccupied house in Roanoke

ROANOKE, Va. – Roanoke firefighters were able to get a house fire under control Sunday evening. 

They responded to the fire around 6 p.m. at the 1100 block of Rugby Avenue in the Northwest section of the city, according to the Roanoke Fire Department.

Authorities said the house was unoccupied and the fire is still under investigation. 

No one was hurt.
