Deputies find two stolen trailers in Franklin County, arrest suspect

ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. – A 28-year-old Rocky Mount man will be charged with stealing two utility trailers in Roanoke County, according to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.

On Thursday, after seeing a video about a stolen trailer from Roanoke County, a member of the Franklin County Sheriff's Office recognized the truck in the video and developed Donovan Hodges as a suspect. 

After speaking with Hodges, deputies found the stolen trailer.

While working with a Roanoke County investigator, deputies in Franklin County learned of a second stolen utility trailer.

After going back to Hodges' residence on Patti Road, deputies found the second trailer.

Grand larceny charges will be filed against Hodges in Roanoke County.

Authorities say this investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be pending.

UPDATE

Police say they have identified suspects but no formal charges have been placed yet. Both of the stolen trailers have been found.

Roanoke County authorities are investigating after they say two trailers were stolen. 

Authorities say the thefts happened May 6 and 7 in the 7000 block of Linn Cove Court in Roanoke County. 

One of the incidents was caught on camera. 

Authorities are asking for the public's help identifying the owner of the vehicle or any suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call Roanoke County police at 540-777-5269.
