Person charged with arson after Danville house fire

Firefighters got the fire under control within 45 minutes

DANVILLE, Va. – Authorities have charged the person they believe is responsible for a house fire in Danville on Monday night.

First responders arrived on the scene at 115 Farrar Street around 7 p.m., and the fire was under control within 45 minutes, according to the Danville Fire Department.

Heavy fire that engulfed the two-story house in Danville, according to the Danville Fire Department.

The house was vacant at the time of the fire.

The Fire Department says no one was hurt during Monday night's fire.

The Fire Marshal’s Office investigated the fire and determined it was intentionally set.

The Fire Department did not release the name of the person who now faces an arson charge.
